Q: How do I wear a headwrap?

A:  There are several ways to wear a headwrap.  For the fitted turban look:

    1. Style hair into slicked-back style
    2. Look down at your toes and center headwrap around nape of neck leaving 2 even lengths of fabric in both hands
    3. Pull the fabric towards the front of your head and tie into a knot
    4. Combine the two separate ends by twisting into one large spiral rope 
    5. Wrap into a donut until secure

Q: Are the african pendant necklaces safe for sensitive skin?

A:  Our african pendant necklaces are made of stainless steel and plated with real gold. They have undergone SGS testing, and are lead and nickel free. We recommend keeping away from moisture (sweat/showers/pools) and not wearing continuously (24/7) in order to prevent necklace from rusting and to protect skin. If you have sensitive skin and are prone to allergy, discontinue wear as soon as you experience any reaction. Store in closed container or sealed bag to prolong lifespan. Please note, once purchased, necklaces are non-returnable. 


Q:How do I wash my bonnets/headwraps?

A: Bonnets/headwraps can either be handwashed or machine washed, delicate cycle, cold water.  Air dry for best results. Please note material is 100% cotton with wax print coating (with exception to our Serwaa bonnet, which is 100% polyester) and will get softer after continued washes.


Q: I am not satisfied with my product can I return it?

A: All sales are final. Items are non-returnable unless it is due to a fault of BeautyMarked & Co., such as a damaged product or incorrect order. In which case, within 48 hours upon delivery, you must send us a detailed email of issue with photograph of item, order number or package slip and we will determine in our judgment if item can be replaced in which case store credit will be issued (no refunds or returns). See Return policy for more information.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

A: This depends on processing, as well as shipping method and distance shipped.  Generally, it takes up to 3-5 business days to process your order prior to shipping. Please refer to our shipping policy for more information.
